Dr. Asmat Ali serves as Deputy Surveyor General at the Survey of Pakistan, with 37 years of experience in geospatial data management, digital cartography, and GIS. He holds a PhD in Remote Sensing & GIS and is a pioneer of Pak-NSDI, having led key national initiatives in geospatial infrastructure and research

He will discuss the foundation of Pakistan’s National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and the importance of a unified geodetic reference framework.
